High School Boy Tryouts

Glen Ellyn Lakers is pleased to announce that we will be offering teams for high school age players in the spring of 2011.

Tryouts for these teams will be held on October 10, from 4:30-6:30 at Ackerman Field - field 10. Please arrive a few minutes early to register.

For the past spring seasons, Lakers have had a single high-school team. This spring we hope to offer teams at both the U17 and the U16 level - depending on the number and age of participants. Our expectation is that current Juniors and some Sophomores will form a U17 team, and that current Freshman and other Sophomores will form a U16 team. Even though some of the Freshman may be age-eligible to play at a U15 level, we believe that the U16 team will better prepare them for the 2011 Fall High School season.

U17 is anyone born after Aug 1, 1993.
U16 is anyone born after Aug 1, 1994.

Expectations are that there will be a trainer coach, 3 practices/week, an 8 game season, and also included are 10 indoor training sessions. We will also enter 1-2 tournaments (priced separately), depending on interest. Cost are being finalized but we are estimating between $450 and $550.
